Crysis? Pshh, It’s All About Warhound on the Xbox 360

The upcoming first-person-shooter from developer Crytek (the guys behind the Far Cry series) already has a ton of buzz surrounding it — and we’ve barely even seen the gameplay. The DirectX10 visuals have taken the “graphics whores” of the gaming community by storm with some of the most realistic visuals ever seen in a game.

The problem: Not only will you need a new PC to play it, but it won't even come out for those "next-gen" behemoths sitting on your entertainment center.

Those looking for a "Crysis like experience" on your Xbox 360 may be in luck, however. Cinema Blend looks to have the exclusive preview on an upcoming 360 and PC title, Warhound, that they're claiming to be the Crysis killer. While the story seems to be the now cliched "mercenary in a jungle" bit, some of the more interesting features include:

  • Use interactive environment elements to your advantage – move or destroy any object you deem necessary. Use the landscape to your advantage.
  • Based on the 4th edition of the ChromeEngine, supporting the latest DirectX10 and Pixel Shader 4.0 graphics, allowing for impressive, wide-open areas, photorealistic graphics and life-like physics simulation (fire, water, smoke, wind, etc.
