A few reports are spinning around the Net stating Final Fantasy XIII won't be a PS3 exclusive...
Imagine if these rumors were true? Another lost PlayStation 3 exclusive franchise would seem to be a massive blow to Sony. Of course, exclusives might not be what they used to be in the industry but when your console isn't selling so well it wouldn't hurt, right?
Wired's blog has a short quote that puts it into perspective:
"In an interview with French news site DNA, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe vice president says that Final Fantasy XIII's exclusivity to PlayStation 3 is under discussion"Under discussion? We all assume it was a "done deal" but with the Xbox 360 selling as well as it is one must wonder "perhaps we should consider all our options."
For Sony, ever exclusive will become harder and harder to obtain given the unit sales of Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii (although we probably won't see any Nintendo exclusives of this caliber).
What would happen to Sony if Final Fantasy become a non-exclusive title to their lineup?
