Game Releases: Week of April 23

Welcome to a very light version of the game releases this week. While a short week, a new feature has been added- Pulse’s Pick of the Week. Every week I will be selecting the game I feel has the most interest or hype. This does not mean it is the best game of the week, just the one I feel is the one to look out for. Feel free to share your thoughts, but be aware if you disagree with my pick you will make me cry and I will never share my ice cream with you.

And now.... here is the very short list of releases this week.

What Were They Smoking?!

smokingFor this week’s What Were They Smoking? Award, I will admit it is a bit of a reach, but is well deserved. This game was given the award due to being just a terrible idea. This week the award goes to the downloadable game for the Nintendo DS, Chuck E Cheese’s Arcade Room. In my opinion, games that are a slew of mini games are nothing more than a cop out. “Hey we need money and have no original ideas, so let’s throw some mini games together and sell it!” When this idea was added to the Chuck E Cheese’s franchise, that was enough to make me give them this award.
