Game Releases: Week of June 11th

Welcome to post E3 and another slightly slow week of releases. This week we have a cheerleading zombie killer, a Japanese fighting game a year late, a game with a crater, a pretty cool gravity manipulation game, an augmented reality Vita game, and quite possibly a game that did everything possible to be awarded our latest What Were They Smoking?! Award.

What Were They Smoking?!

While awarding last week’s What Were They Smoking?! Award, I thought it would be a while before another game came along that would be more fitting. But then this week came along and may be the most ridiculous yet. The Nintendo DS gives us another winner with iCarly: Groovy Foodie! In my opinion, this game does everything wrong. First, it takes a theme from a terrible show on Nickelodeon (sorry iCarly fans!). Second, it’s a sequel of blockbuster iCarly games like iCarly! and iCarly2: iJoin the Click! Third, its a bad puzzle game that steals ideas from other games, like Root Beer Tapper. In this terrible game, Carly and Sam get into mischief at a local hot dog stand and must perform community service by serving food to customers. Some of the wacky food items are spaghetti tacos, doughnuts on a stick, and fudge balls (gonna leave that last one alone). Battle customers such as web mascots, students throwing stuff, and... wait for it....prisoners from King County Prison! Enough already, you earned it iCarly!!! You earned it, now go away! [$29.95]
