Game Releases: Week of March 12

As the Mass Effect 3 hangover lingers, another week is upon us. This week is not quite as impressive for new game releases. If last week was a Lamborghini, this week is a Knight Rider Big Wheel- pretty cool, but a little ashamed to admit you still ride it. Another EA Street and Silent Hill game, in addition to (gasp) a new Mario Party game. So hop on your Big Wheel, crank up your favorite 80’s tune, slap on some shades, and let the gaming begin!

Multiplatform Releases

FIFA Street (360, PS3) - This EA Sports street title comes back from a four year hiatus. This time around they wanted “realism” out of a street game. Unfortunately, overacting is missing from this game, so I say nay-nay to realism.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations (360, PS3) -  Fighting game based on the Naruto anime franchise. This game also includes characters from some of the prequel games. Very disappointed Yoda is not included.

Silent Hill: Downpour (360, PS3) - Yeah, yeah, I know what you are saying, ANOTHER Silent Hill game?! This one involves a criminal that escapes from a bus crash. No fluffy bunnies in this game, unless it’s a killer bunny. No holy hand grenades available in this one, either.

Birds of Steel (360, PS3) - Battle the WW2 skies in this airplane fighter.

Playstation 3 Releases

Tales of Graces f -  This is the latest version of the Tales series originally for the Wii. The “f” stands for future. This game also includes additional content from the original.

Yakuza: Dead Souls - Action adventure from the Yakuza series, but this time there are zombies!! Every game is better with zombies! Don’t question it, accept it.

 Wii Releases

Mario Party 9 - Rejoice in all the Mario party goodness in another Mario mini-gamefest. Something tells me this one has zombies in it!

 Playstation Vita

Ridge Racer - This racer is a port of the popular drift racing series.

Reality Fighters - A reality fighting game where you use the camera to capture your image and fight others around the world. Something tells me there may be some very unique fighters out there.

Arcade Releases of Note

Defenders of Ardania (XBOX Live Arcade, PC) - Multiplayer tower defense/offense game that was originally created for the ipad.

Shoot Many Robots (XBOX Live Arcade) - If you need an explanation on what this game is about, please hit yourself in the head with a heavy object. No, it’s not about zombies.

Warp (PSN, Windows) - Stealth based puzzle game.

That’s it for the week. Happy Gaming 2old2play!
