Halo 3 Customs Available?

Well sort of. It seems as though some beta players have found a way to not only sneak into the custom menus, but actually set up and play their own custom games.

From what we can tell, it is actually quite easy to create the custom games and some reports even suggested that Bungie had accidentally opened up the option during the long weekend. Leave it to the little hacker kids out there to find a way to break into the most sought after part of the multiplayer beta.

In any case until Bungie confirms you are able to play customs in the Beta, we wouldn't suggest trying them out unless you don't mind losing a gamertag or two to the Bungie Banhammer. If, however you have balls of steel we have the how to (Courtesy of achieve360points.com) below.

How To: Make a party with 8 people in it, have a 9th person waiting in the lobby, join the person in the lobby and select bring party. A person in the party you brought with you will be booted out because there can only be 8 people in the lobby. That person will be in the custom games screen. Make him set the network mode back to Xbox Live and invite the other 7 people back in.

If you're like many of the members here and you don't want to even risk the dark side of the Bungie ban hammer, then just check out the list of cool beta options and videos below. For now we patiently await and answer for the Bungie team. In any case, the amount of options look immense.

For a list of all the options (which is about 5 pages long) check out the post from our forum members via Morningstar from Subnova. All I have to say is anti-gravity!. If you are still worried about the ban hammer from Bungie, just remember that this is a beta and hacks and glitches should be expected in a beta environment. After all, isn't that what the beta is for?
