New Releases- Week of July 23, 2012

It’s another week and this week is chock full of.... well, nothing to soil your adult diapers about. Unless you’re a health guru that’s been craving another game that keeps you indoors. There are a few arcade games out this week that actually may be fun.

Here are the releases this week, and I told you so.

Multiplatform Releases

Adidas Micoach (PS3, XBOX360) Motion controlled fitness game created by Adidas. Game features over 400 exercises with both sports and non-sports specific exercises. Sports specific exercises contain star athletes such as Dwight Howard, Kaka and Ana Ivanovic. What better way to workout than to hear a star athlete tell you are a flabby girlieman (or woman). [$49.99]

PC Releases

American Mensa Academy- Brain training game that was made in collaboration from Mensa, the largest and oldest society of people with high IQs. In other words, you don’t stand a chance.

Prototype 2- Sequel to the open-world action game from 2009 is finally released on PC. Game features a new protagonist, Sergeant James Heller, who is seeking revenge for the death of his family. He is infected with a virus that allows him to be a shapeshifter. Game will not include multiplayer. [$49.99]

Rusty Hearts: Reborn- First expansion to the MMO action game. Includes new content, bosses, areas, skills, and game enhancements.

Arcade Releases

Dot Runner: Complete Edition (Nintendo 3DS eShop) Full version of the dot-eating action game.[$4.99]

Foosball 2012 (PSN) Finally, a foosball game! Game includes 9 tables,  6 balls, and online multiplayer. May not be game of the year, but looks pretty fun!  [$7.99]

Malicious (PC, PSN) 3D action game released in Japan in 2010. Instead of having to fight through an entire level to face a boss, this game faces you against the bosses right away.  [$9.99]

Puddle (PSN- Vita) Physics based puzzle game that involves... you guessed it... a possum! Oh wait, I meant a puddle. Game uses textures and temperatures to manipulate the physics of the liquid. [$7.99]

Wizorb (PSN- PSP) Game that takes a different approach to breakout-type games. Apparently the wizard is trapped in an orb (hence the title) and uses different abilities to destroy blocks. There are also boss fights as well.

Wreckateer (XBOX Live Arcade) Control ballista to destroy castles through the use of Kinect. Will this be another botched Kinect game? Only time will tell. [800 MS points]
