New Releases: Week of July 29th

It’s another lean week for video game releases. This weeks’ games feature a visual novel romance game (ooh, exciting!) and cleverly named games ending in “-ia.”  Hey, we told you it was a lean week! At least we have the release details of the new Bioshock: Infinite DLC to look forward to...

Arcania: The Complete Tale (PS3, Xbox 360)
The PC RPG formally know as Arcania: Gothic 4 comes to the PS3 and 360 in the form of Arcania: The Complete Collection. The original game and it’s expansion-Fall Of Setariff-are both included.

Terraria: Collector’s Edition (PS3, Xbox 360, PC)
The PC hit that mixes a bit of Minecraft with a dash of platforming, a touch of sidescroller and a pinch of whatever the hell else the developers’ fevered minds could come up with (jetpacks and lasers?  why not?) is already available on the PS3 and 360 as a downloadable title. The game now gets a physical release as Terraria: The Collector’s Edition. The Collector's Edition includes the full game with two in-game items (the pet bunny and a carrot), a poster, a USB keychain in the shape of a pickaxe and a set of trading cards that you can look at once, throw back in the case and forget about forever.

Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi
This incredibly-annoying-to-type-named game is a visual novel romance game.  If you know what that entails, then you are the intended audience.  If not, then you can probably skip it and go back to whatever Mario rehash Nintendo released this month.
