Five weeks and counting until the new consoles release but really the excitement of the Fall/Winter release season kicks off this week with the release of such highly anticipated titles like Beyond: Two Souls and Pokémon X and Y.

Beyond: Two Souls (PS3)
Beyond: Two Souls is an interactive drama action-adventure video developed by Quantic Dream. It stars actors Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe. Psychological, spiritual, and thriller elements are the core components of this game. Players take control of Jodie Holmes, the female protagonist, through 15 years of her life. During the years of 8 through 23, while playing as Jodie, you’ll travel on a journey to discover the true meaning of the entity that has been by your side for your whole life. Are you ready to learn what happens after death? Beyond: Two Souls drops on October 8th.
Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition (PS3, 360, PC)
Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition includes the core Borderlands 2 experience plus a majority of the DLC. It includes Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1 but there is no mention that it includes Pack 2. Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition hits stores on October 8th.
Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness (PS3)
Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness, a tactical role playing game, is the latest edition to the Disgaea series developed by Nippon Ichi Software. The game is a sequel to 2003's Disgaea: Hour of Darkness which released on the PS2. The main characters from the 2003 version return to reprise their roles. The 2013 version puts an emphasis on character attacks and skills as well as an improved master/student system. Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness releases on October 8th.
Dishonored Game of the Year Edition (PS3, 360, PC)
Dishonored is an immersive first-person action game where players take on the role of a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. Combine supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets to pursue your enemies and take out targets. The outcome of each mission is based upon how you choose to play the game. Are you someone who likes to lurk in the shadows or take down your foes guns blazing? Begin your quest for revenge on October 8th.
Just Dance 2014 (PS3, 360, Wii, WiiU )
As the 5th installment of the Just Dance series, players once again are judged on how well they dance along to a particular song. A new mode to the series is the “On Stage” mode, where the player takes the lead dance role and is accompanied by two backup dancers. Shake your groove thing beginning October 8th.
Orc Attack: Flatulent Rebellion (PSN, XBLA)
A self-proclaimed “cooperative gas-and-slash action game,” Orc Attack mixes things up from previous orc-inspired games as the player captains these big smellies. Now that the tables have been turned, orcs such as Sir Sniff, Doc Turd, Lord Poop and Friar Krap must fart and burp with reckless abandon in order to defeat the “pollution spreading humans.” Begin your flatulent rebellion on October 9th.
Pokémon X and Y (3DS)
Pokémon X and Y are role-playing video games developed by Game Freak. They are the first installments in the sixth generation of the main series of Pokémon games. Pokémon X and Y are also the first of the series rendered in polygonal 3D graphics. In order to obtain all Pokémon, as some are only obtainable in either the X or Y version, players are encouraged to trade with others. Pokémon X and Y drops on October 12th.
