If anyone too lazy to keep up with our nintendo live blogging may not yet realize, Mario Kart is arriving for the Wii and it will have multiplayer for real!
Reggie Fils-Amie used more popular PR stunts to leave us hanging on the Mario Kart Wii online play, stating "More racers means more fun. How many more? Stay tuned." Meaning, we don't yet know how many racers will be allowed in an online Mario Kart game.
The good news? $(@%* online play! Yeah, the first game we can all be excited about for online play for the Nintendo Wii. Sure, Pokemon is supposed to have online play but not all of us older gamers are Pokemon fans (are any?).
What about racing wheels? Well, many of us get beaten in Forza 2 because a few of the hardcore folks have racing wheels and we don't. But alas, Mario Kart will be bundled with a custom steering wheel for hot kart racing. Finally we can all be on even ground.
Any concerns? Well, for 2old2play the big concern will be voice chat, right? What games do we play in this generation that do not have a voice chat system? Nobody in their right mind is going to text each other during a fast pace kart race.
Now, shall we all get out the notepad for Wii friends codes for this title or will we be able to use our console friend code?
