The word coming down from a Toys R Us employee, sadly, is a stock of Nintendo DS Lite and Wii products that they won't sell until February 11th, 2007.
This is an unverified rumor, but this has become typical practice by retail chains. Holding products for "special days" during some magical weekend. Rather than giving the product out to customers eager to own it they've chosen to have customers fight over products by waiting in cold lines during mid-winter just to get a glimpse of them.
The chances of finding these products is difficult to begin with and becomes more difficult when retails don't feel like selling them to you today. Is this cruel and unusual punishment? Cruel, yes but unusual? Not anymore.
