Review: Halo 2 Playlist Update

Tuesday Noon Est: I turned on my Xbox with one purpose in mind, to play the new playlists. Though it took a while to find a game in each of the new playlists ( I think this was due to either people just not playing yet or I was having a problem hooking up with players over seas), but once I found a game, Holy crap was it fun. So in case you haven't checked them out, lets take a look at the playlists. Lets start with the easy one.

Team Snipers:
Not a new playlist, but it has become ranked now which us to bad since I think Bungie had a great idea using a hidden rank. This way games were fair and you were matched up against players with the same sniping skills as you. BUT with these hidden ranks being revealed it has opended the door for our little Timmie friends to find yet another playlist to bridge and mod in, with the hopes of getting the ever elusive level 50.

Conclusion: All in all I don't think Timmie will be around modding or bridging much. I played a bunch of sniper games and didn't run into any. Actually I met a bunch of cool guys and gals. Play Away!

6 V 6:
Not Team Skirmish but not Big Team Battle. It is PERFECT and probably my favorite of the new Playlists. I know i am not the only one out there who wanted to play Match Making in Skirmish but had 5 or 6 in a party. With the same principles as Big Team this makes for some Fun games. Me and some others from the 2old2play challenge team played last night and had a blast. Assault on Relic is a much better game with 6 and it is easier to move as a team. In skirmish 4 is too small a number and with 8 people it gives snipers a lot of targets, But with a party of 6 it was much easier to divide and conquer, arm the bomb, and skip away into the next round of beating timmie to a pulp. Again being ranked it will attract moron modders and such, so be on the look out.

Conclusion: Get 5 of your buddies and check it out. You will have fun. I promise.

ClanMatch:
Same old Clan Match with the exception that you can't go into it with 3 people anymore ( at least i don't think you can, i didn't try). Again I like the fact it is a 5 player team. Meaning more can play with better team work. I think with 8 on the team important info would get lost with everyone reporting positions and information. Try it out.

Conclusion: Get 5 of your clan mates and check it out. At least you wont have to find 8 members online at the same time.

Team Actionsak:
I was a bit worried about this but I had a lot of fun. Sniper KOTH was fun, and as always shotgun ctf on midship was a blast. Rocket Ctf was a bit trying, but was fun shooting random rockets across the map for a double kill.

Conclusion: Since this is a community input playlist I feel it will be a success. Good playlist for you to warm up in and mess around in. Great stuff.

Last and definitely not least

Rumble Armory:
Like to run around with dual needlers like I do? Does it put a smile on your face take someone down with dual plasma pistols? Then your prayers have been answered. This is truly a fun and interesting playlist. Just wait until you get into a all needles game and see all the pink bullets flying around the map. You WILL laugh.... I did. I actually stood on a base and watched for a while. I have never seen that much pink in halo before. in my opinion I think they could have left out the sentinel beam games, but it is part of the game so ....... yea.

Conclusion: Get playing this playlist if you want to improve with a certain weapon it may take a couple games to get into what you are looking for but you will have fun in the process. Great playlist!

All in all i think Bungie did a great job again!
