Microsoft annouces the Reclusa™ gaming keyboard at CES.
The Reclusa™ is said to set itself apart from other keyboards by offering "advanced features and best-in-class design elements" while including ambient backlighting, Hyperesponse™ Gaming Key Action for maximum response with minimal latency, and two built-in gold-plated USB ports. They have also included 12 custom-programmable buttons that have two 360 Degree Jog-Dials and two Bumper Buttons both located on either side of the keyboard.
To be completely honest, the new keyboard doesnt sound to much different then the already released Logitech G15 although the "Bumper Buttons" do spark a small amount of interest. What is really going to decided the hardwares fate is the price point, and since the estimated retail price is $69.95, it comes in a lot less then the comparable G15. The unit will be available in spring 2007.
