The accessories are listed for Japanese retail but its easy to guess what the first set of accessories in North America will be based on this information. Although pricing is currently in Yen (and nothing is final for U.S. pricing) we do have a few details on the products.
For those living under a rock, the PlayStation 3 will not have a rumble capability. Sony stated that this was because of their new motion-sensing abilities which companies like Nintendo and Immersion question. Immersion, holding the rights and IP to the "rumble" technology says motion-sensing does not interfere with rumble and vice-versa.
There is no "rumble," which leads to a name change from Dual Shock to something less "shocking." Given its motion-sensing they've named it the "Six Axis" controller. This controller will retail for 5,000 yen. If that were directly converted to US Dollars it would fall somewhere in the $40.00 range. However, regional pricing isn't always a direct conversion - so don't assume $40.00 right now.
The second accessory, the BD Remote Controller, probably dubbed the name because of its "Blu-Ray" playback capabilities. The remote will sell for 3,600 yen and be available around 12/7 in Japan. This controller doesn't use IR like a typical controller. Rather, it uses Bluetooth, a technology that is far more advanced than simple infrared technology.
Lastly, the memory card reader. This little guy will allow you to recover your old PlayStation 2 saved games to use on your new shiny PS3. The official name is the Memory Card Adapter and it will connect via USB and retail for 1,500 yen on 11/11 in Japan. The reader will also work with original PlayStation games if you are still in the dark ages of console generations.
