If you're a hand-held gamer, like racing games and want to try something different Need For Speed ProStreet on the DS may be what you're looking for. Here are some of the latest screenshots for the game, now available in stores.
Why show screenshots at all? Mainly because the title shows off what the DS can do, which is fairly impressive considering its size, price and power.
Is NFS ProStreet going to make you push aside a game like Mario Kart for the DS? Perhaps not, depending on what type of racing title you're looking for or if you've played the heck out of Kart already.
This may make a good holiday gift, however, for your kids if they're into racing games and haven't found any to match up against Kart. Reviews on ProStreet have been good thus far, the biggest argument that has been made is "why buy it on the DS when you can get it on any other console with much better graphics?" The only answer is, you usually can't play ProStreet on another console while in the car, on the bus or flying across the country.
Us older gamers are well aware that a kid with nothing to do on a flight to see the family this holiday season can make for a long trip indeed. A few good DS titles can make all the difference, right?
