Coffee Memoirs: I am living in the gaming year of 2012 apparently. Back then, it was about D&D Online and talking about dirty rogue fetishes. I was casually following a Twitch streamer who had no business whatsoever in trying to run a guild but made multiple claims that DDO was one of the best games ever. Easily frustrated and not very charismatic he quit playing the game after a few short weeks. Questing was always intended to be a party activity, not for solo or 2 people with hirelings. Puzzles were always a key mechanic in the game, and he hated that SOOO much. You could always tell when a meltdown was on the way and began with a “fuck this” or “fuck that”, followed by any multiple day inactive characters getting booted from guild.
Keeping 2012 alive… MechWarrior Online, how expensive thou art! A simple paint job will cost you real world money. You want a fun war horn to blare loudly with jubilation when you score the occasional kill or a sweet Mech? Cough up the dough! Me and MechWarrior have a love hate relationship. I don’t completely suck, and I am getting better but have a long road ahead of me trying to get all the experience I need for that tasty skill tree. “Dear Lord, send me friends in MWO and grant me full skill trees so that I may smite my enemies with a fiercer conviction!”
I refuse to believe its 2021 which is why I have rearranged the number sequence to 2012.
Curse of the Dead Gods
Release Date: February 23, 2012
Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO, Switch
I haven’t been intrigued by too many top-down view or roguelike games but this one almost feels like a platformer which I may enjoy. Treasures, progressive powers and abilities… a decent weapon variety to mix things up and play like you want to.

Persona 5 Strikers
Release Date: February 23, 2012
Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch
Hack and slash, role-playing. Yup. The Persona series of games has its own following and truthfully, I am not too certain over how much overlap there is between them? Beautiful anime graphics will have you feeling like you are starring in your own series.

Wrath: Aeon of Ruin
Release Date: February 25, 2012
Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO, Switch
I have been stuck in 2012 but this will have you reliving the glory days of the Doom/Quake experience... so, more like 1993. Retro survival horror FPS is exactly what this is doing in its official release for multiple platforms.
