So what has everyone been playing lately? I have spent some time in Kingdom Hearts 3, Crackdown, Anthem and a little dab of Destiny 2. Crackdown and Anthem suffer the same problem for me. There is a good game in there somewhere but if it means I have to work hard to find it I am likely not going to. I can't sit and play games all day like I used to. I have maybe an hour here and there and maybe a few extra on the weekends in the morning. I don't have time to slug through boring repetitive game play or quests. Kingdom Hearts suffers a little here as well but my main problem is the cut scenes. I know the purpose is to tell the (crazy & confusing) story but they go on so long they take me out of the game. Destiny 2 is fun until you finish the story and then the grinding begins.
I have to admit I am getting a little bored of the current crop of games overall and I want to find something I can get excited about again. Looking at the games this week I may have to wait a little longer but maybe these are right up your alley! Let's take a look and see!
Left Alive
Platforms: PC, PS4
Release Date: March 5th, 2019
Left Alive is a survival action shooter published by Square Enix. The game has some great Japanese pedigree behind it as the team consists of members from the Armored Core Series, Metal gear Solid and Zenoblade Chronicles X to name a few. Multiple story paths await the three different characters you get to play. Will you win the war against the machines that rule Novo-Slava?
Devil May Cry 5
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Release Date: March 8th, 2019
If you are a fan of the DMC series then you should be excited for DMC 5 as it is the first in the series to launch on this generation of consoles. If anyone can tell me the story in 500 characters or less please do. I read the synopsis on the website but that made little sense to me. I watched the trailer and...yeah I stil dont know what is going on. Looks cool though!
Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn
Platforms: 3DS
Release Date: March 8th, 2019
An enhanced version of the Kirby's Epic Yarn that was launched on the Wii back in 2010. What is crazy is that it is enhanced for the 3DS. Does that mean the 3DS has more power than the Wii? Likely yes. As fun as that console was there was nothing to it power wise. What iis even crazier is that was 9 years ago! Where did those years go!??! Anyway if you or your kids are looking for a mind cavity give this super sickly sweet title a try!
