I totally missed that this came out for the Nintendo Switch in February for the 35th anniversary of the franchise. Players take up the role of Aruthur and fight against zombies and skeletons. The art style is updated to feel more like a picture book and while the difficulty is still tough it will allow you the option of adapting if you keep dying in the same spot.
Griftlands

Griftlands has been in early access for almost 2 years and officially launches this week. It's a roguelike deck builder with RPG elements. You select one of the mercenary characters to play as and choices matter as you navigate the world to make friends and enemies. I’m looking forward to checking this one out.
