I hope you are enjoying your Memorial day weekend. For those of us not in the US it is just a regular ol' weekend that seems to fly by way too damn quickly these days. I was looking at the list of games and I don't even know what to put on here to tell you the truth. Ok there is one or two newish games but the rest are just collections of old games coming out for the Switch. Maybe I will group them together...let's see what I decided to do below.
Minecraft Dungeons
Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One
Release Date: May 26th, 2020
You got Minecraft in my Diablo?!?! You got Diablo in my Minecraft?!?! Minecraft as a full blown dungeon crawling RPG? This may be a Minecraft I can get behind. I have been looking for some couch co-op RPG games as of late that Mrs-Soup doesn't fall asleep in. Will Minecraft Dungeons be the one to break her sleeping curse?!? I will report back and let you know!
Shantae and the Seven Sirens
Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One
Release Date: May 28th, 2020
Originally released on the iPhone (yes you read that right), then ported to macOS and now finally (?) on consoles and PC; Shantae and the Seven Sirens is the 5th game (I guessed the 7th but I guessed poorly) in the Shantae platforming game series. I was watching the trailer below and I want to know if anyone bought this on iPhone and if you did...how the hell did you even get this game to play without a controller?!?! Seriously! I would have noped so f'ing fast if I had to use a touch screen for this game.
BioLands XenoCom: The Collections Edition
Platforms: Switch
Release Date: May 29th, 2020
If you missed out on any of these games the first time around (think 13 years ago or so) and absolutely HAVE to have them on your Switch, then good news! Bioshock: The Collection, Borderlands: Legendary Collection, Xcom 2: Collection and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition are all coming (separately) to the Nintendo's Switch console this week. I will be honest and tell you the first two you probably should play if you haven't. They are brilliant games. The latter two I have tried but they are not my cup of tea. To each their own!
