Well, it looks like our first beta season has come to a close. It was a lot of fun for most members even with the tensions of competitive play and an unstable tournament program. In the end, Jerrys Kids screeched by with a final game win against 2old2live which gave them the 128 point rating they needed to close the season. Most notably was Slaughter House with a 8 and 0 record with one draw to team PWN which gave them a tie for the final score. We hope that everyone had fun and this next season we plan on having a lot more tournaments, as well as prizes for the top players.
The new ladders come directly from your comments and suggestions about what other games, rules, and ideas we should have for the new season. So this time around you will see many different types of ladders for almost any popular game. We hope to have ladders for every type of skill level as well since some members are a little better then others at certain games. The other addition will be a new type of "true ladder" where the only way to advance is to take out the person ahead of you on the leader board. The style we have now is more of a "league" type rule where players can choose any one from the ladder to challenge. We will also be adding an elimination ladder where a natural bracket style tournament can be held. This will be great for racing or sports type games in the future.
The other addition will be prizes for the top players who are also registered members of our Senior Citizens Card. Gamers can use points earned in the tournaments to place in our monthly raffle for a prize. This time around we plan on giving away a Dazzle DVC 150 recorder. With this awesome product your can cut your own game footage and record almost any video off your TV! I think its a perfect addition to anyone's entertainment center.
