Hey, you. Yeah, you, the new guy (or gal). We know it's not always easy to meet people when you're the new kid on the block, so ... we're taking the pressure off. Whether you like to shoot or drive, we've got a game lobby for you. All you have to do is show up and play.
What's a community playdate? You might have seen them on your Xbox, where MS lets an internet gaming community host a bunch of visitors while playing their favorite game. Well, this is like that, only we're not Microsoft. We're your new home for gaming on the 'net, and like you, we're old enough to know we'd rather join our octagenarian brethern in beating down the timmies of ther world instead of being subjugated by them.
We're aware a bunch of you may have just stumbled onto 2o2p after having seen an article with our feckless leader, "Doodirock," in OXM, and we figured we'd throw a soiree to welcome you to the community. We're glad you're here, and we hope you'll come game with us.
2o2p site community playdates are typically the first steps toward participating in the 2o2p community. Once you've played, you'll start seeing familiar names in the forums, and taking part in esoteric discussions about things like "spawn control." Before you know it, you'll be in a clan surrounded by a whole cadre of gamers who also love your game of choice (and more than likely share your particular skewed view of the world). A month after that, you'll find yourself in site chat, and only then will you stop to think, "What did I ever do before I found 2o2p?"
So take that first step. Come game with us. Gaming is where the magic happens.

July 21st: Halo 3
You're going to be looking for a guy named F1R3. Yeah, I know, his parents must've hated him. But name aside, he'll be hosting a room from 8-11 p.m., EST (5-8 PM PST). You'll probably start out with customs (All games will have an assault rifle/battle rifle start with 4v4 or 5v5 gametypes), but then head to matchmaking as time/participants permit. The custom games will be 2-flag CTF on The Pit, Oddball on Guardian, Plasma Punch-Out, King Of the Hill on Heretic and Slayer on Construct. Or so we're told. Your experience may vary.
July 22nd: Forza 3
Jcotter13 will be your host for the evening. You can find him running the room from 6 to 10 PM CST (7-11 EST or 4-7 PST).
The cars being raced are all E-C class cars with forcedstock tuning and upgrades. We're hoping you Forza addicts out there know what that means.
July 23rd: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
ChiefBunnyScrat will be running the room from 9 PM EST (6 PM PST). You'll be playing customs with some of the best and brightest CoD pieces on the site. The gametypes will include FFA shotguns on Highrise, Domination riot shields only on Rust, Barebones Deathmatch on Sub Base, and TDM Default snipers on Favela.
If you're familiar with this game at all, and Bunny somehow talks you into thinking it's a good idea to head into matchmaking, you're going to want to come up with a "safe" word that'll let you back out of the Live lobby together. When this comes up, make sure you don't let Bunny pick the word. Just a heads up.
If you have any questions in regard to whatever game you'd like to participate in (or all of them if that is the case), feel free to PM (private message) the room hosts via our handy, dandy 2o2p messaging system. They'll all be able to answer any questions you might have or assuage any fears you might be experiencing. You can also PM Dixon_Tufar as he's the wizard behind this particular curtain.
In a more general manner, if you'd like to participate, you can also send an Xbox Live friend request to "aaa 2o2p July", which is a Silver gamertag. Once you've been accepted as a friend on that list, you'll be able to select that tag from your friends list, hit A on View Friends, and see everyone else who's been accepted on that list and what game they're currently playing, if they're online (or choose to show up as online). You can then select that person from the list and send invites out that way.
