Hello and welcome to 2old2play.com. As you can see we have started something really special here and we are happy the others can finally see our progress. We apologize for any slow down in site performance as of late. Recently we were featured on halo.bungie.org and have since been flooded with new visitors. Our server was just not prepared for this influx so it is taking some time to adjust.
In the mean time I would just like to welcome all the new people to the site and let them know that we will adjust to this growth ASAP.
For now, please take the time to sign up for our forums and look into our clan area. Every clan receives their own private forum to meet and discuss their team’s strategy for their game. These clans will represent the future of our site when we release our premium ladder software. Each clan will be able to participate in site tournaments, ladders, and team challenges as the season goes on. The feature list we have planned is extensive and should make any oldie happy.
For now we have a growing list of already functioning features to help you enjoy your time here at 2old2play. We have created a Halo Stats page where you can plug in your own Bungie feed and review your last games on our site. Soon this feature will tie in with our Who’s Online feed so you can also know who is actually playing what game while you’re on site.
We also encourage our members to enter in their clan data, gamertag, and the games they own. This data is used in our GamerTags feature. Members use this area to find a list of existing members’ games. This is an easy way to see what games people have and what their gamer tag is. That way your can build up a quick friends list and get straight to what you like doing, gaming!
Video tutorials are also a large part of the sites monthly function. We will be releasing new videos each month that review, teach, or entertain you through the use of game captured footage. Expect much more once the archive footage is built up. For now, we have turned off this feature to accommodate new influx of visitors.
We also have begun theme changes to the site. Any registered member can change the look of the site to a certain theme they think represents them. At the moment we have created a Halo 2 and Splinter Cell theme, but more are certainly on the way. This should make the site a little better to come to each day, as we have found a site’s look can get old fast.
The list of features we have planned is enormous and grows daily. We hope that you spend enough time with 2old2play to see everything we have planned.
