A couple days ago I was asked to cap some games of mine so that people could see a game from my perspective. At first I was just going to Cap some of my best kills from the night at make a little mini montage. During the night I found myself in Team Slayer on Lockout almost 3 times in a row. After playing and winning those games I realized that I used a certain strategy to survive. So I thought instead of a lame montage, I could try and help others survive Lockout using my same strategy.
So the videos that follow were created to try and help others with one of many strategies I use while playing the map Lockout. Now the key to winning any map does not rely on strategy alone. It also has a lot to do with timing, control, team work, map knowledge, and of coarse accuracy. Following these guides will not ensure any victory but may help you understand map layout a little more.
Part One
The first video will guide you through a step by step process with my voice over explaining each decision I make during the game. To view Part One, click on Media in the Tournament Navigation on the left side of the site and select Lockout Tutorial Part One. I suggest that you download the video to your drive so you can get a bigger image of what is going on.
Part Two
Part two was a video capture taken from the same night in Team Training just 2 games after part one. In both videos I only die one time, so I figured I would create a part 2 just to show you that the strat does work. Here I explain a little bit more about close quarters battle as opposed to the sniping that I do in Part 1.
I hope you enjoy these videos and leave me some feedback on what else you would like to see for Halo 2. Also, all videos were encoded in WMP9 so all you mac users are SOL. I will try and recode a Quick time version soon. Thanks
