Pandemic’s upcoming rock-’em-sock-’em mayhemtacular shooter Mercenaries 2: World in Flames looked like it was ready to explode on to the console scene for the holiday season, but such is not the case.
While Pandemic isn’t citing why the action filled sequel to Mercenaries is being delayed, we can’t help but be relieved. Not only is that 60 bucks for one of the other blockbusters coming out this holiday season, but it gives them time to fix up things that might have been a little lackluster. With the amount of awesome contained in that game, it’s likely the framerate would slip here and there, so any refining is fine by us. We can wait until early 2008, as Joystiq mentions will be the ballpark release date for all consoles, save the Wii, and PC.
Can you guys wait? It’ll be a tough one, but I’m sure we’ll be able to tide ourselves over until Spring.
