There are things in this life that just make you stop. But, when your brakes arent one of them, its time to head to the mechanics. I did this today, and had the great luck to need a complete brake job. Fortunately, I also needed a new Air Conditioning compressor, because otherwise, it might not have been expensive enough.

Wow, between the plumbing bill and the car bill, renting a condo and taking the bus looks better every day.

Anyway, for the writing contest, my topic is Why Gamers Get Mad. I plan to work on it as soon as this ****ing jackass who keeps spawn camping like a little bi*ch dies. I mean, Ill get cracking on that as soon as my muse speaks to me.

Not a lot to report today. I just like seeing my dogs face up in the Blog section. How about a really crummy joke before I go? Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused novacaine at the dentists? He wanted to transcend dental medication. ba dum dum.

Peace.

Now if I could just convince teddybear that the debt free program is really worth it...I am glad you posted that monkee cause we we are in a definate situation but making that step to just say "No" isnt one we havent made yet. I think your previous post just may help. But I am sympathizing with the brake thing, its always something and it seems like every month there is another big expense to take care of. Meantime, see ya online!!!!

Lonewolf, assuming you didnt just jinx the shit out me, Im looking for calmer waters ahead too. :) wilderz. Yes, thats one of my pugs wearing an Ohio State hat. We have two (pugs, not hats - I have about 10 OSU hats). The one in the picture is named Onyx (the dog, not the hat. The hat is named Chet). CapnHun, I highly recommend working towards being debt free. However, todays little adventure for me was partially charged because they wouldnt take a combo of cash and chewing gum. I think were around the same age (only you look MUCH younger than me), so I know you are feeling what I am in terms of wanting to get out of debt and move towards retirement. It just takes discipline, and a willingness to still spend money occasionally, such as when we took a vacation. It doesnt work if you deny yourself everything - you just have to learn to be very choosy in what you splurge on.

You do know that changing your own brakes takes about 10-15 minutes by yourself? Its really not that hard. It will save you some money and time to go buy a Chiltons manual for your car. You wont be able to do everything, but small things like that will make it worth it.

We have some good examples for Why Gamers Get Mad from tonights round of BTB Slayer matches. Teammates dropping out in a game of Gulch Wars and leaving you to face the onslaught of an organized unit. Also, just getting your ass handed to you in Gulch Wars even if all your teammates stick around.

I used to work on my cars all the time through my 20s. After 30, other than basic maintenance, I pretty much said screw it, Ill pay someone else. I have a good mechanic who doenst gouge me. Its worth it to me to pay someone and have gauranteed work.
