A Sad Passing...

This weekend Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin died in a freak stingray accident on a reef in Australia.  He was a passionate conservationist, a good husband and father, and a landmark in Australia.  He was killed when a stingray barb pierced his heart while filming a segment for a new show. 

I, of course, didn't know the man but he graced my television countless times over the past several years and I'm saddened by his untimely death.  My family could always watch his show and be entertained while, at the same time, being educated.  There are many other animal show hosts out there but he was by far the most charismatic and passionate.  I and my family will miss him.
