Shared on Tue, 09/05/2006 - 10:36So I developed a tremendous amount of respect for single parents. My wife went to Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend, and I watched our 1 year old son by myself. He's an easy child to care for by any measure, and still I was ready for my wife to come back by yesterday! It's tough being the only one there for a kid. I only experienced it for a few days and can't imagine what it must be like to do that for years on end. My hat's off to single parents everywhere!
I go for an MRI tonight at 8:30 PM at UNC Chapel Hill Hospitals. I think I blogged this before, but I've been having problems with my right ear for years now where I occasionally experience various intensities of vertigo and tinitus (ringing) in my right ear. They need to do an MRI to rule out a growth on my audio nerve. Hopefully they don't find anything. If not, I go to Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT or otolaryngology) to find out what's wrong. Of course, if they do find something, I go to ENT for surgery. I'd prefer that they not find anything, obviously. I don't like the idea of doctors cutting into my ear and digging in my head.
Team Spooooon plays Profanity this Sunday. The game types are Midship KOTH, CTF Warlock, and Colossus slayer. I chose the slayer game but probably would've been better off choosing one of the objectives. Oh well. They should be fun and challenging games. Suck it, Profanity!
I haven't posted a game lately. Since my laptop is out of commission and I can't cap games, I had to find an older game to post. I decided on a custom 2v2 on Midship with T and me versus GorillaNUTZ and Slamatocious. Thor and I have gamed together since before Halo 2 was released when we played Halo CE over XBC. He LANs Halo CE (or used to, he got married recently) with Rippon and the Utah Noobs as well as other outstanding Utah guys (Canada, Trainee, etc.). Some of you that pay attention to Halo-Pro.com might have seen that Utah Noobs recently won a national Halo CE tournament in Baltimore. Needless to say, these guys know how to play some Halo CE! GorillaNUTZ is actually Kingpins Back, a member of halo2.junk.ws challenge team. If you've ever been to their forums, you'd know that they kiss his ass long and hard over there. Slam is a good older gamer that's more active over at the seasonedgamers.com forums. Anyway, I recalled that the 2old2play team is supposed to play junk's challenge team, so I thought some of you might want to see this game. Kingpin said that this was the worst game he'd ever played and that he wasn't strong on Midship after they lost, so we must've done something right. :D We have some good teamwork here. Watch for the flanks, high/low on the bases, and some team fire. Though this is before I really got into MLG customs, so you'll see a good bit of poor decision making on my part. Still, it's a good game.
