Wisdoms and stuff

Well, got the wisdom teeth out yesterday. Ended up just having general anesthesia so it was really easy. Took yesterday and today off work to get it done and heal. So far so good. Not too much pain and I don't even need the Vicodin anymore. Just Advil. Missed the 40 year old Halo tourney last night, which sucked, but the Vicodin really had my head reeling, so I probably wouldn't have done well anyway.

The boy has really been testing his limits lately. Never wants to do what he is asked to do. Whines a lot. He's been sick with a sinus cold too, so that probably contributes greatly.

Been playing Lego Star Wars with the wife and kid at night - great game, lots of fun. My kid is into Star Wars now because of it. He was saying the other night, "walk walk walk, shoot shoot shoot" which is pretty much what we were doing. Funny. Hope he doesn't do that in school!

Also been playing Far Cry Predator - the evolution story (the new one). Been pretty fun, more like what I would have liked the first to be except there doesn't seem to be much to the story. They released an update to fix the aiming control, which was pretty bad. I think the new aiming is probably worse than before.

Bought a new cable modem.  Adelphia was getting strange overload errors on my modem.  Came out and replace the main line and still no fix.  It would work great then just start going slower and slower, until it was slower than dial up.  I did some reading online and found there is some kind of chip problem in a lot of modems that does something weird with Mac OS X.  We had a cheap RCA modem that we were leasing from Adelphia.  I went out and bought a new Motorola Surfboard 5120 and my speeds seem to be fixed plus I can cancel the rental fee on the other modem.  Yay!
