Shared on Tue, 10/31/2006 - 17:07I preordered my copy of Gears of War today at a non-local GameStop by my office today. Never preordered before, not even for Halo 2. Hell, I haven't been this excited by a game SINCE Halo 2. I was at a customer's facility on the other side of LA when that one came out and took time off from the job to run up to Best Buy. Had my copy by 10:30am.
So today, I get back to the my lab and I am walking on air. Super stoked, be able to take an early break to go pick it up, play all night and maybe call in sick on Thursday. Then I realize my folly:
I'll be at the SAME customer on the other side of Los Angeles on launch day, 40 miles from my pre-purchased, waiting in its nice shiny tin box, brand spanking new copy of GoW. Crappitycrapcrap.
Should've ordered through CodeMonkey.
