All of our pictures get downloaded to Iphoto on shakes computer. (He has a mac) I use a PC thats a few years old. My computer is jsut about full, I think it would vomit all over me if I loaded much more onto it. The computers sit right next to each other in the office. However, for some reason they arent networked. I used to just use a dongle to transfer the pictures from his computer to mine, but the dongle has dissapeared. My computers disk drive decided to start making CDs blow up, so I cant even burn them to disk and read it that way. Plus yahoo and gmail only let you send 10 mb attatchments. So that works, but only for sending a few full size photos at a time. which I can do, but at this point Im rebeling against it because I know how long it will take for a chore that should take seconds.
Ok, so my bitch for today.....
For christmas Shakes sister wants family pictures so they can make a dvd for his parents. I finally got an email telling me what I need to send her exactly and if I could access the damn pictures it would take less then 30 minutes start to finish. But no, I have no way to get to the pictures unless I want to do it all on shakes machine and send them from there, but he uses photoshop CE and I used elements. Sure they are close, and I could do it if I tried hard enough, but I get lost on his program. Plus I just dont like using his computer.
Im just frusterated that this easy little task has turned into an afternoon worth of fruitless work. I just want to scream and bash my head against the window.
Im not blaming anyone, just venting about my lack of knowledge to fix the problem. If I just knew how to network computers, or knew what kind of CD drive I need or even knew where to look to find out what CD drive I need. Ugh, this shows me how lost I would be in the world beyond diapers and peanut butter sandwiches. have I mentioned how much I hate to feel stupid? Right now I feel like a total tech retard.
One of my hobbies besides playing video games is scrapbooking digitally. I really enjoy it and do some pretty good pages if I do say so myself. But I havnt done a page in ages, because I cant access the damn photos. Shakes could do this all, but he has his own things to do like school and work and stuff. Last thing he needs is to have to spend time setting up a network so I can scrapbook.
Anyway... blah blah blah. Whine whine.
