More Control(ler) Issues

I have been looking for a genuine Xbox controller, but can't find anything but the cheap wireless knockoffs. I went by Gamestop, and found a wired version of their brand. The clerk assured me it was would work well. It doesn't.

Every minute or so, I get a message-Controller Not Plugged IN, Press A

This is while I'm playing. A little bit of a hindrance when you're mid-battle, and the game tells you to reconnect your controller. So, I hid in the base on Zanzibar, waiting for the message to pop-up. When it did, I knew I had a minute to engage in battle, then run back and hide. I did fairly well considering. Seven kills, and four deaths.

I missed out on the $100 core 360 on Amazon last week. That was the only way I was going to pony up for a 360 now. My surgery will cost about five to six thousand out-of-pocket for me, so I really can't justify laying down four hundred for a 360 at present. I think I will play Halo 2 until Halo 3 comes out and then make the move. Hopefully, there will a strong contingent of us-the Cheap, The Broke, The Satisfied.

Until then, I will rummage through the bargain bins for old Xbox parts, and be content. Thank goodness for Halo, instead of Spyro the Dragon.

Can always get a used one from EB or Gamestop...they are like $250 or so for a Premium.

360 not in my near future either, maybe\r if I get anything on taxes-we'll see.\r \r I only used a wireless a couple times and there were always issues, so I dont even woory about\r that as I have enough problems just tryin to stay alive! :)\r \r Good luck with the surgery man.

Thanks, Oldman. My tense was misleading. The surgery was about three weeks ago and went great. I am very fortunate. The five grand is just the cost of doing business.

Yeah, I'm hoping to have a 360 by tax seasons end as well. Go figure, I had the money this past tax season, but no one had any 360's to sell me.
