2o2p lately seems to be bombarded by trolls and really it is a common occurrence on other forums, but as a rare event here it is really a pain to read and deal with them in a mature matter.

What makes this even more sad is the fact the trolls are probably under 25 or very immature over 25 year olds who are just being morons because they are dissatisfied with their lives so they get a rush from jumping in on forums, starting discussions that are flame bait and keep switching their views around just to argue.

I really hate seeing it because 2old2play is a site that really seems to be free of the stereotypical trash that covers most online forums and web sites.

But this is just me getting some thoughts out, back to trying to be a productive member of 2o2p

What can I say man... Trolling is a fact of life and people do it because they can. Puting up a baseline age requirement of 25 years (Still too young if you ask me.) may help with keeping the community docile and easily managable, but it won't keep the turks out, so to speak. And sometimes a topic might hit home too close, and then an otherwise perfectly good person in mint condition might blow a casket. What are you going to do? Crucify him and walk away, or are you going to listen to him and find reason in what he's saying? If you ask me, the real trolls in any forum are the people feeding the trolls.

The hardest thing to do that controls trolls is to ignore them. If someone starts inflamatory crud, if NO ONE were to respond, it would end quickly. Unfortunately, it is hard to do!

Yesterday was the worst day ever on the forums. Been here a pretty long time now. and come mainly for game discussion with my older peers. It sucks to have an old member, who I enjoyed input from on a gaming standpoint, just decides to troll up the rest of the forums and just mouth off. Was really upsetting to see someone who you can relate to on a gaming just go off like that. Some of the stuff seemed real personal...why? Its always a problem on forums when people make too much of what someone said in print and make their minds up they don't like the person. I have my opinions and am a serious gamer. Hope people don't take that the wrong way. I'd gladly play with anyone here regardless of their political or social views.
