How can there be so many people with cancer in the world?  They keep coming, and coming.  You would think the holiday season would be slow.  A few of the docs are gone until after the 1st of the year.  I guess that doesn't mean the patients don't get treated.  Today I had 2 new patients.  That's a lot of work cuz they are scared, newly diagnosed, and you have to do patient teaching so they know what's going on.  The doctors actually tell them very little.  One of them was crying throughout the entire chemo, the other was sleeping and just didn't want to know......  And then there were my 10 or so other patients that just wanted to get their drugs and go home.  The waiting room was full and they were lined up all the way down the hall.  Ack!  And the nurses!  OMG!  I don't want to get into that!  They all come to me and tell me what the others are doing.  Petty!  Just do your work, people!  Oh, and I had to give a patient arsenic today.  I didn't like that.......  I kept calling it poison, and he would just laugh.  He's a 9 year survivor so he doesn't care what it is if it might give him some more time.  ooooooooooo, i guess........
