Shared on Fri, 12/29/2006 - 12:12I wa able to get a Wii today. I told my wife I was going to go Wii hunting. I figured this was the last week day of my Christmas vacation, and I should give it a shot. I went to Target #1, and got a nunchuck, target #2 had Wii remotes, and the gamestop I went to said they were expecting about three in on a truck today. I returned just in time to be the third in line. As I was buying mine, the last the store had, at least two people came in and said that an employee promised him that the system would be held for them today. I can't believe the hassle people (myself included) are going through to get these damn things.
But I was lucky and now I'm in the process of updating and setting it up. I can't wait to throw Zelda in and see how it plays. I like the Wii-mote so far in the set up process, it feels pretty intuitive.
To hell with my chores I'm playing with my Wii today.
As an aside, not a single person who was buying the Wii today was under the age of 25. My impression is that they were not for the kiddies either. Very interesting.
