Geisha had a doctors appointment on Tuesday the 27th, she was having mild contractions then. The doctor stripped her membrane at the appointment, which led to more intense contractions at more frequent intervals. Later that evening, she was having contractions every 3-5 minutes apart, and was having trouble getting comfortable whether she was sitting or standing, she told me it was time to go, this was about 10:00pm. So we get the boys to where they needed to be and get to the hospital and she gets checked in and they start prepping her, I get sent to the waiting room. Around 11:00pm they come and get me and let me go to the room as well.
From that time to around 3:30am she has contractions that range from bad to "lets get this the hell over with". At 3:30am she decides to get an epidural, so once again I am sent to the waiting room. An hour later, I decide that I have waited long enough and go back to the room to find out that the epidural didn't go so well. They tried twice, and both times did not get the needle in the right spot, and then decided that they did not want to risk trying a third time. Needless to say, Geisha didn't need the extra pain of a needle as long as my foot going into her back twice.
Around 5:00am the doctor come in and tells her that she is doing great and we should have a baby by 7:00am. She said, "NO, within the next half hour". So around 5:20am she starts having this overwhelming urge to push, and tells the nurse, the nurse has her push, and then calls for the doctor because she can feel the head. So after the doctor and nurses prepare themselves, she gives about three good pushes and bam, we have a new baby girl.
And here she is, Madison Victoria Thornberg.
Taken yesterday, as she slept.
Same as above, but the blanket was moved.
Taken today, at home. We have a huge bird problem as can be seen on her forehead. Actually, I have no idea what that is, as I did not take this picture.
And finally, my life as I know it coming to an end. Again, just kidding.
