Shared on Sun, 03/04/2007 - 17:29Despite much evidence to the contrary, we still live in a polite society. This was most recently evidenced by the comments made by...or rather not made by Anne Coulter. You see, Anne wanted to call John Edwards a faggot, “but it turns out that you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot.’” I really feel for Ms. Coulter. Polite society has indeed placed unreasonable limits upon her First Amendment Rights. This isn’t the first time Anne’s been attacked for expressing her views. In fact, just last year Anne said of four widowed women, “I’ve never seen people enjoying their husbands’ deaths so much.” Bravo, Anne! To imagine the gall of these women! Their husbands serving in Iraq were stupid enough to get themselves killed, and these women have the cajones to be upset...to question the circumstance!?! Other people might have called the men’s death “the ultimate sacrifice” and christened the questions voiced by these women as true patriotism. Bullocks! You should have given them BOTH barrels. I might suggest you coin the phrase “wiped their collective asses with the memories of their pathetic husbands.” Don’t worry about sending me any royalties, you obviously need the money and attention far more than myself.
You see, dear reader, I have empathy for Anne. I too am the victim of shackles latched upon my wrists by too constrictive a society. If left to my own free will and accord, I would probably utter something along the lines of “If I ever come face to face with Anne Coulter, I will not stop beating her Skelator-understudy face until every bone in my left hand is broken. I will stick my foot so far up her anorexic ass that it will leave a Doc Martens tag sticking out her mouth, parroting her tongue. I’ll grab her by her neo-con neck and twist it until I feel the model airplane sprues that are her thoracic vertebrae go snap, crackle, and pop with a finality of satisfaction.” No sir-ee, I can’t say things like that in this polite society...that might be construed as assault. Neither can I encourage you to do the same as that might similarly be construed as conspiracy.
Anne Coulter makes G. Gordon Liddy look like a candy-striper. Rush Limbaugh a girl scout. Hannity and Colmes like Bert and Ernie. And Bill O’Reilly Mother Teresa. Only Nancy Grace rivals Anne in her appeal to the lowest common denominator of society...the mob mentality where none of us are as dumb individually as all of us collectively.
From Revolutionary to Reactionary around the clock ticks,
From Che to Adolph, one in the same, the label sticks.
Stephen King has strong feelings about the train wreck that is Nancy Grace. With that taken into consideration, I don’t feel Mr. King would be offended if I closed this treatise on my admiration of Ms. Coulter, her sister in hate, with a quote from his body of work:
Anne, “May your first day in hell last 10,000 years, and may it be the shortest.”
Postscript: In will swing those of a conservative slant to ding this post with a thumbs down. Do it, if you must, but don't prostitute yourselves defending this woman. I don't agree with your viewpoints, but at least I respect them. This person is trash. Don't rush to support her, lest you be none the better.
