I used them for trade in (with some games) and got a PS3. Normally, I probably wouldn't have gotten it, but Resistance Fall of Man looked like so much fun. Motorstorm looked like a good game to play with my son. There were also a bunch of PS2 games that I'd never played, but want to. Also, Blu-Ray seems to be doing pretty well. At least, a lot more of the movies that I would want to watch are going to be Blu-Ray, so I figured it would be worth the purchase. I had the consoles lying around, so I figured I'd rather get rid of them then have them use up closet space.
The Resistance campaign was great fun. I've done some online as well. Did well the first set of matches, got my ass kicked the second. Based on the discussion of some members of the site, I set up the site's first Resistance/PS3 clan. 2old2resist. All 10 of you PS3 owners should join! Hopefully, the number of PS3 owners will rise and it won't be another 3DO (I loved that system). Overall, while very different from the Xbox 360, it seems like a nice system and I'm sure Sony will develop the platform and improve it like Microsoft has been doing. Sony does need to get it in gear and get good games out, or they'll continue to get crushed by MS.
Picked up GRAW 2 and did a bunch of the multiplayer Campaigns last night. We got our asses kicked. I'm not sure if it is going to promote teamwork, cooperation, strategy and planning or if it is just going to seem unfair and feel like banging your head on the wall. We'll see.
