I hate the liberal bias and the Cut and Run Crowd

I just fail to understand why the "Cut and Run" crowd has been so effective at taking this war and totally shedding a completely negative image on it. I fail to understand why we let this happen. Is it that some of those that lead today were the very same people that were smoking dope and procaliming "Make Love not War" and throwing pig's blood on our returning Vietnam vets? Is it that they see this as a rebirth of their youth? Whatever the cause is, to me, it is disgusting how some are so willing to senf this country down the drain. Their hunger for power and control, or revenge on President Bush outweighs what I feel should be the natural tendency to protect the land that they were born on and reaped all the advantatges off of. So many times I fell like screaming at those so blind, using the fictitious character Col Jessup's words:

"You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know - that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall -- you need me on that wall. We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!"

AMEN! Now that IRAN is starting to ratchet things up I hope that the left will see that this is a real issue. But they will find another way to blame anyone on the Bush team and want to turttle head thier way back into the shell. If we dont take care of Iraq and get a handle on Iran, that pot belly kim-johg-ill will get some crazy ideas (like he is starting to do). Jimmy Carter gave Iran some confidence back in the 70's. Give the millitary what ever items/personal that they need and most importantly give them the support back home so that they can kick ass and not hear how the Democrats (and some Republicans) want to "cut and run". Democrats own defeat. If we were all united (as a Nation) to get the job done it would get done ASAP. I love our millitary and I regret to have never served, I think about it and them every day, and I am proud to be an American!

AND, youre a big hypocrite. You like to question others service, then have a shit-fit when they do the same to you, or vice-versa!! WHat damn difference does it make if the Coast Guard is the DOT and now DOHS. Who are you to question anybodys service?

What I don't understand is how anyone can blame the Democrats for the failure of the war when the Republicans controlled the White House AND Congress. It's like blaming the people in the back seat of the car after you run into a ditch. Ummmm... dude... YOU WERE DRIVING!!!! That being said, while I have HUGE issues with the idiots in control of the government, I have NOTHING but respect, admiration, and gratitude for those that serve this country. May God Bless the troops and forgive the administration.

What bothers me, -and I could be talking out my ass, is that it seems like we are engaged in war... but up to a certain point. It's like having an attack dog on a leash (and by no means is that comment to be compared to everyone over there serving us now), but not allowed to full on attack. You know? I have the highest respect for all of you. It just seems to me like you're hands are tied from kicking the ass you need to. I know we're concerned about civilian casualties, but fuck'n aye were they when they attacked us? I know it's wrong for me to think this, but sometimes I think we should bring our troops home, and glass the shit out of that place. Christ almighty we have THE most powerful military in the world.

Thank you. 1. For your service and 2. for telling it like it is. I totally agree. I foresee the fall of Iraq, similar to the evacuation of Vietnam.

Zikan: Go get some more fairy dust :) UM: Yut,yut! CofC: Don't mention it. Wilderz: You are dead on about being handcuffed. We have the most powerful military in the World, and the weakest lowliest politicans trying to undermine the miltary wiht things like Murtha's plan to control the purse strings. That means we have a big, mean attack dog on a leash secured to its nuts.

I kind of compare what is happening to the movie the patriot. Only this time we are the British enslaved by 'rules of engagement' while the insurgents are more like Mel and his crew were. Employing guerilla tactics and the like. Rules of engagement?! What rules? It's fucking war. keep the faith bro.

I couldn't agree more. However. 4 fucking years? I love our military, but the Bush administration is fucking up this thing left and right. This should have been over 2 years ago, if better planning had been undertaken. Hell, it may not have even happened if a lot things had occurred that didn't. Why can't we finish this war off? Did the Clinton administration gut our military that bad? I guess I wasn't paying much attention to it while I was in and they were slicing it here and there. I'm not going to say it was a mistake to enter into this war. Hindsight is 20/20 so that's an easy statement to make and an easy road to travel. But, it has got to end.

Its hard to change the charcter of a man, more so if those men were born and raised without Freedom, not freedom to go to the store but freedom of free thought and to question the morality of their leaders and those leaders interpataion of thier religion. That is the enemy we fight. This enemy cannot be defeated by words or politics. Yet if we destroy them we become what they say we are. I no not the answer. Stay the course is all we can do. The whiney voiceturois minor majority is always the voice that is heard the loudest, but we have freedom of thought and we know better.... Huh?????

That area has been at war for a lot longer than we've been there. I don't think that we'll be able to make them stop any time too soon. It's pretty safe to say that they are not overly receptive to Democracy. We got Saddam, that's a momentous occasion in and of itself. What sucks now is that if we split we're going to look like the kid that pokes a stick in the bees nest and runs like hell. I don't know what the solution to this is. If we glass their country, then the surrounding areas are going to have to deal with a shitload of refugees, more so than they already are... I don't know, I just don't know.

The US is fucked economically. By 2020 a financial plague is going to sweep through this country and make the Great Depression look like a vacation. We don't save money, the money we do spend goes over seas, and the world markets are starting to un-hitch the wagons from the US economy in favor of greener pastures [China]. The rich are going to get richer and the middle class and poor are going to be begging in the streets. Why is nobody talking about this? Figuring out the direction our military should take will be a moot point when the money runs out.

"Or the people in the back reach and hold their hands over the driver's eyes?"..."The dems have been undermining the war efforts since the beginning." You CAN'T be serious here man. WHO was in charge of planning the invasion? WHO was in charge of determining the # of Troops? WHO was in charge of planning what to do AFTER the end of "major combat operations"? And finally WHO was in charge of planning an "exit strategy"??? You seem to be forgetting one of the right's talking points these days when it comes to the Democrats stance on the War: THE MAJORITY OF DEMOCRATS SUPPORTED THE WAR in the beginning!!! (the right says this to back up their stance that the Dem's don't have the stomach to continue the fight...) The criticism of the war started after the incompetence of the fools running the show became apparent.(and when it became apparent that the WMD's and the impending "Mushroom Cloud over Manhattan" was a load of crap...) Good God man, put down the Kool-Aid.

Flobber: What happens when the people in the back reach through the floorboard and cut your breaklines? Or the people in the back reach and hold their hands over the driver's eyes? Although the dems were the minority, the fact that our system is a Representative Republic, and the severe separation of powers, allows a minority to heavily cripple th efforts of the majority. The dems have been undermining the war efforts since the beginning.

Hate speech like this always scares me. I just cannot understand why somebody would hate the majority of Americans so much. I am in my 24th year of active service in the armed forces, I honor and love the country that I serve, I could not imagine doing it with that much hatred in my heart. We Americans are not your enemy, no matter how much you hate us. The great and very courageous Edith Cavell left us with the following on the eve of her execution by the Germans after she helped hundreds of allied soldiers escape Belgium in 1915: "I realise that patriotism is not enough. I must have no hatred or bitterness towards anyone."

Fuck off Strike. Americans are not my enemy. I serve this country with love and pride. I despise the cut'n run crowd. I despise the political leaders that endorse that, and the media that glorifies it. The political leaders of the left seek to undermine the President, and our efforts in the war against Islamic Extremism. They seek to undermne the President even if it means sacrificing our troops and our country. Who the fuck do oyu think you are to accuse me of hating my American brethren? Again, fuck off.
