Today Part 2

This was Tobi when we got her, shown actual size (hee, hee).  Today she had surgery to remove what we thought was a puppy that did not come out.  It was actually her uterus, but all shriveled up.  So she has been fixed and we don't need to go through all that again.  Been a rough week.  When toy dogs, says the vet, have puppies, the first litter usually has problems.  When he was inside, he saw plenty of milk, but the puppy didn't get any.

The vet was cool about it, I actually saved $120 and he accepted a post-dated check.

So now me and my fiance are chillin' with some wine and relaxing (finally).

Here's another pic - my cat (Isla) shortly after we got her.

Who rules the roost? (animal wise)

We have 2 Chihuahuas and one cat. Tobi is the dominant dog, and the cat doesn't really perceive that - until she's sleeping on the bed and Tobi decides she's going to sleep there instead.

I'm glad to hear that Tobi is doing well and you found a vet you could work with!

devon - believe it or not, it's the same vet. He dropped 120 from the price and took a post-dated check. There are usually complications (he said) with 1st litter puppies, and I guess that's what happened.

He is right, first litter puppies can have complications, it is not uncommon. Either way, I'm glad things are looking better.
