Well I have a stainless steel one and have never been happy with it. I tried a pewter one and well they are nice I just don't like the feel of it and it has an off smell to it even after many a cleaning. Glass is nice and I have more then a few antique glass and silver flasks but to damn fragile. So far the one I am most happy with is my sterling silver 3oz from England. The craftsmanship is excellent and it just feels right. The main drawback is way to pricey to carry around for general use. I have also decided anything bigger then 5oz is just to damn big. Heck just carry a bottle and be done with it if you need more then that. I just got a Titanium Flask from Snow Peak. This company specializes in camping equipment. The plus to Titanium is it is very light but durable as all get out. I left some Sazerac in it for a week to see how it would fair. After the week was over no off smell or taste difference was noticed. This flask just might be the flask I was looking for. The only drawback is price. A stainless steel flask you can get for around 15 bucks, Pewter around 40, Glass around 20, Copper for around 40 but it tarnishes to easy, Sterling Silver range from 200 to over 900 bucks. The Titanium I track down for 110 on sale. Most people would balk at this but not me. I collect flasks and hard to find whiskey so to spend over 150 dollars on a bottle of whiskey you have to have a nice flask for it. I have high hopes for my new flask and only time will tell if it lives up to my expectations.
