I was making a left to enter my neigboorhood just like normal when out of the corner of my eye I saw a few kids on BMX bikes in the adjoining alley. Just as they come clearer into view one of them rides right out in front of my truck talking a cell phone ignoring his friends warning yells and my truck . I slammed on the brakes and stopped about a foot away from hitting him. Thank the Gods I wasn't driving fast or I might have killed or seriously hurt that kid.
Now I'm pretty much shaking from this close call but he just kept pedaling and yaking away on his cell phone totally oblivious to what had just happened, luckily I had only 1 more block till I was home. I kept thinking man I'm so glad I missed him because I don't think I could handle hurting or killing someone in that manner, especially a kid.
We both dodged a big one there.
Sorry for so long between blogs, It's just been tough to find the time.
