If that is not enough of a reason to remember June 1, my house just got flooded. In just less than 35 minutes, the creek down the street from us overflowed its banks and headed for our house. I got the dogs out, the laptops, my 360 and most of my xbox shit; couldn't get the TV out (though I did put it high up on a desk). Here's hoping the water didn't get four feet deep inside...
I don't know how deep it got because once we had everything out we could get, we left and haven't been back yet. When I locked the front door and stepped off my porch, the water was to my belt.
