Comcast vs Time Warner

I recently moved from a Comcast cable area to a Time Warner cable area and so far I'm not impressed with Time Warner.

My main gripe is the tv guide/on demand UI.  First off, its slow.  With TW each category of on demand is a different channel,  those different channels need to load everytime.  Sometime this takes up to 30 seconds.  Lose power and it can take over 20 minutes before I can get all channels back.

Second gripe is with the DVR.  So far in the details of a show it doesn't say if the show is a repeat or new.  Without that, the DVR just records every broadcast, or a single.  But what about when the same title

Guide and Menu are not the same thing, yet when I press each I get the same response , the guide.  The menu should provide access to search, settings, etc.  All of which are hidden within the guide IU.

Search - you can only enter the first letter of the show you are searching.  Then you need to page through every entry with that first letter.  At least let me pick the first three letters to narrow my list.

Check and see if Verizon FIOS is in your area, it's way cheaper and way faster.

FIOS isn't here yet. I would of gone that route for sure. Might be in another year or two. I'll jump ship as soon as its available.
