Let There be A/C!

The new a/c was installed Friday at 4:37 PM. At the time, the thermostat in the house read 100 degrees. I had intended to stay at home and work on inventory, but gave up and started driving in my truck because it had a/c. I went to Lowes. I went to Home Depot. I went to every store I have ever been to and looked for nothing. But, I was cool.

I'm sitting in the Dallas metroplex typing this, very anxious to go home and set up my new HDTV. My newlywed daughter bought a huge new entertainment center and sold me hers for fifty bucks. It's a really nice wooden one, the kind that looks like an amoire when the doors are shut. And while I was riding around pirating cool air from the different stores, I found an 8'x11' area rug that was being discontinued that had been reduced from $218 to $54. They had made an error in marking it, but let me have it because it was their fault. Plus they had a pretty good idea I wasn't leaving without my $54 rug.

New a/c - $3100

New solar water heater - $1300

New rug - $54

The gift of life - Priceless

God bless, and see you online.

Glad to hear things are cooling off. Our power went off several days ago and the house got up to 78 and I was miserable. I can only imagine what it's been like at your place.

I have a tin roof. It was in the 90s outside, and when my wife built this house I think they used toilet paper for insulation. Yes, it was that hot. When the new a/c kicked in, the filters were soaked in no time from all the humidity in the house. It has rained for days here, and when the sun comes out. . .
