Calling all drinkers!

Codemonkey and I are going to be starting a new podcast dedicated to one of our most cherished pastimes: drinking. We're looking for more co-hosts!

Now, I don't want to give you the impression this is going to be a bunch of drunks sitting around talking on Skype (although that's pretty close). The show and website will actually have an agenda. We're going to be doing weekly reviews of various drinks (beer, wine, mixed, etc...).

In short:
Every other week there will be a theme (example: Mexican Beer). During that time frame each reviewer will be assigned one beverage type to review on their own. Let's say I'm drinking Dos Equis and Codemonkey is slumming with some Corona. Then, during the podcast, all of the reviewers will be sampling a final beverage all together (say, Negra Modelo). We'll post all of the reviews on a website and publish the podcast  that week. An excuse to drink? I've got plenty already, but one more couldn't hurt :)


Interested?
Not so fast buck-a-roo. There are some other criteria besides just being sloshed all the time. We're looking for people who can:

• Not mind purchasing two "drinks" every other week for consumption (two types of beer, wines, or spirits...etc)
• Willingness to try new drinks. Each session you're going to try something new. You may throw down $15 for a bottle of whiskey and totally hate it but that's the gig. If you're looking to expand your beverage horizons: we're looking for you! If your taste buds have room only for what you like, sorry :(
• Be available for an hour-long *uninterrupted* podcast on Friday nights. You'll need to be in a quiet area (kid-free, pet-free, and interruption-free)
  
• Write a review of your assignment for the week and have it posted in a timely manner.
  
• Be a social drinker! We're looking for podcasters who actually...you know...talk :)
  
• Know how to setup Skype and use it. We're not looking to be tech support for you non-techie types ;)
  

Still sound like something you'd be interested in? Tomorrow night (July 20) we're going to do a test-run of Skype podcasting and we'd love to have you stop by and chat. Obviously, part of podcasting involves having a speaking voice that doesn't make people cringe so think of tomorrow night as an audition :)

Just a clarification - we're going to start with bi-weekly podcasts and if they go really smoothly and we have the time, we'll go weekly.
