The surgery went well, but given her health/medical background, they are keeping her in the hospital for 5-7 days. When I got there, Dad was in the waiting room with the pastor of his church. We went to her room and were there when they brought her in from recovery. While waiting, Dad commented he was freezing to death, as he had worn shorts, not knowing that she would be going to surgery. I went to a nurse and asked for a quilt, then took it to my Dad and told him I had gone into a random room and wrestled it away from another patient. It made him laugh, which made me feel good. I know that despite his faith, he was pretty shaken by the whole thing. When he wrapped up in the blanket, he looked like a monk, and of course I told him that and got a picture with my phone. That made him laugh harder. I don't want to say ALL you can do is pray, because prayer is your hotline to God, but when things are totally out of your control, being able to make someone suffering laugh is a blessing.

Thank you for your prayers. They were heard.
