Well, not content to go as far as the doctors would have let her (would have been induced on Monday), my sister took matters into her own hands and delivered a healthy, happy set of twins on Friday evening. Mother and children are doing well, and recovering nicely over at the Naval Medical Center in Washington.

I've lost track of exactly how many nieces and nephews this makes for me...I think it's somewhere in the low 20s now. ;) My wife comes from a rather large family (she's 8th of 10), and most of her siblings are married with children.

To help with the transition and allow my brother-in-law to participate in the births, my wife went down early Friday afternoon to take care of their 2 year old little girl. That leaves me playing Mr. Mom for five or so days until my parents make it into town as reserves. Of course the first full day of my trial was full on, with a birthday part to shuttle one of my boys to and from, and then a collegiate graduation party for a neighbors daughter. The former was typical, whereas the later was pretty nice. I'm not an overly social person, but with the coaxing of my wife, I put the introspective side of me aside and went along to have a good time. The kegs helped. ;) That, and late in the evening, one of my neighbors introduced me to

I suppose if you're going to try scotch for the first time, that's the way to do it eh? Now, how to tell the wife that we need a $150 bottle of liquor in our cabinet...hmm.

Congrats Balek. YOu've got a lot of young minds to corrupt over the the coming years :) Funny you post a picture of scotch. We were having a debate about Scotch last night. We had dinner party and one of our guests asked if we had some scotch. We don't but we got into a discussion about it, kinda funny. ALos saw Zodiac last weekend. That movie dragged. They needed to cut 45 minutes out of it and tighten up the story. There was just enough interesting to keep you awake through the whole thing.... just. But ig uess a movie based on real life shouldn't be as thrilling as a hollywood serial killer movie, nothing's ever as exciting as hollywood makes it out to be
