I purchased a Panasonic projector back in late February and let me tell you, playing games and watching movies on a 120" screen is the cat's ass.  The problem is that the image began to periodically dim and then brighten and I noticed a color convergence issue.  So, I sent it in for repair back in June.

Everything seemed to be better until recently when the problem began manifesting itself again.  I'm shipping the projector back in today.  This is my primary display device: TV, movies, video games.  I'm not a happy camper at the moment, but I figured I'd rather get it fixed and have it back before Bioshock comes out.

On the bright side, if you can call it that, my PC's hard drive is also crapping out, so I'll be kept busy over the next few days reinstalling the OS and all of my applications on a new hard drive.

What brand and model of projector is it? Have you read any comments on it on the web about this issue?

thats the only thing keeping me from getting a projector...the color alignment issues and repair that it might need.

Can I make rude comments about your HARD drive not working?

It's a Panasonic PT-AX100U. The reason I got it was that it is an absolute light cannon and it throws a great picture even with a lot of ambient light. Based on what I've read on the AVS forums, this model is one of the best when it works, but there are 3 "buckets" of issues that people have with it. My dimming/brightening is one of those issues.
