A nice update

Things are great.

Work has been good.  I was advanced last November to E-6 in the Navy and the transition of responsibility & experience has taken an arduous year but the rewards are plentiful..both personal AND on the job.   I've always been quite a hard worker & now that I have more than handful working under me, I've taken the leadership role with open arms, a firm but caring hand, the knowledge of 9 years in the service, the humbleness of knowing I don't know it all but the willingness to learn.

My love life is rocky but at the same time, I have no worries.  I am talking to a few different ladies but I don't see myself committing to anything in the near future.  The single life is nice & taking the time to be by myself has made me grow in ways I may not have seen while with Jessica.  
Plus, being a single young man living in downtown San Diego has it's upsides.  ;)

2old2play is a home away from home to me.
I've started to help run things in 2o2pWEST and I absolutely love it.  We're a small but strong group & the active members we do have are all good friends.
I enjoy every minute I spend there.

Last month I scored a free copy of the game DiRT and as a way of bringing the group together & giving back to the community of good people we have, I wanted to give the game away to one of our members.  How to choose who was the question....  I knew I wanted to run a contest of some sort but had never done anything like that so was at a loss for ideas.
I talked with Brad & together we came up with a contest we felt was easy, fun & easy to judge:  

From today, the 19th of July, until midnight on Sunday the 22nd of July, Brad & I are in dire need of laughing our asses off so it's your task to find the absolute FUNNIEST thing on the web, PM it to both of us, (as to not give away where you found your gem of a funny), and on Monday, the two of us will judge via high-tech phone conferance & decide who made us pee the most with laughter.

The contest ran without a hitch and we ended up getting a bunch of kick ass submissions that made us both laugh & cry & pee and in the end, Buz Lightbeer came out victorious with his gem of a find.

All in all, the times & life of J T Himself are going well.
