It has just been a year since her ex-husband dropped the D word and stunned the family. She has 3 children under the age of 10. She has struggled with her classes and has done well. her study habits would put a PhD student to shame and she has still had time for her kids. She will now start studying for her RPN boards and graduation this December.
Last night in boxing we started some sparring with the advanced students. No, they weren't throwing punches at us. We would shuffle in a circle around one of them (he was padded in the mid section) and he would call a number corresponding to one of us in the circle. Then he would call out punches. 1 is a jab and 2 is the cross. We would then have to throw those punches in the sequence he called. You didn't have a lot of time to think because if you did you would find an arm coming at the side of your head and you would have to duck. I have a lot of respect for the training boxers go through. Reflexes have to be sharp and this is one hell of a workout. I highly recommend it.

Keep on go!
